What I like the most about this place is the boutique hotels. Owing to the UNESCO status and a ban on beachfront buildings, several developers have come up with great creative concepts to attract tourists to Formentera. The boutique hotels, beach bars and restaurants, the weekly crafts market, and everything about it in general are quite unique -- which is a major source of attraction for me.
